Blur is set to perform a series of warm-up concerts across the UK in May 2023, prior to their Wembley Stadium dates on 8th and 9th July 2023. The warm-up gigs will begin at Colchester Arts Centre on 19th May, followed by Eastbourne Winter Gardens on 21st May, The Halls Wolverhampton on 26th May, and O2 City Hall Newcastle on 28th May.

The warm-up concerts serve as a prelude to Blur's landmark performances at London's Wembley Stadium. The first date, 8th July, sold out rapidly, but limited tickets are still available for the 9th July show.

Colchester, the hometown of band members Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, and Dave Rowntree, holds special significance for the band. Albarn and Coxon met as teenagers at Stanway School, and Coxon later introduced Rowntree to Albarn and bassist Alex James, leading to the formation of Blur. Their debut album, 'Leisure', was released in 1991.

Tickets for the warm-up shows will be available for general sale starting at 10 am BST on 28th April 2023, with a maximum of 2 tickets per show for each customer. For more information and to sign up for the mailing list, visit www.blur.co.uk.
