State Choir Latvija – Tour of Ireland, 1st–5th May 2024
The State Choir LATVIJA is one of the world’s most sought after professional choirs. Their hallmark is the beautiful sound of the Latvian choral tradition, characterised by warmth, balance and precision. Along with their Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, Māris Sirmais, they will present a rich programme of Latvian/ Baltic music alongside music by Irish composers in a 5-concert tour of Ireland to Drogheda, Cork, Kilkenny, Balbriggan and Dublin from 1st – 5th May 2024. The tour includes works by Arvo Pärt, Pēteris Vasks, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Michael Holohan, Rhona Clarke, and making his centenary year, Charles Villiers Stanford.
