The Royal College of Music in London is currently seeking to appoint a new Artistic Director. This pivotal role involves leading the artistic strategy of the institution and includes management of various departments such as Opera, Historical Performance, and Performance Programming. The position entails working collaboratively within the College’s Directorate to contribute to and implement strategic plans, manage designated budgets, and oversee the Faculties Administration Office.

The Artistic Director will also play a significant role in the College’s human resources and general management, and will represent the institution externally. Candidates must have substantial management experience, a deep understanding of music education, and demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity. A relevant degree, preferably with a postgraduate qualification, is essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage actively with the College community by attending concerts and other events. Applications are invited by 5pm on Friday, 3 May.
