The Royal College of Music (RCM) in London is seeking a new Head of Strings. This full-time, permanent role, starting in September 2024, offers a salary ranging from £71,210 to £82,172 per annum.

The successful candidate will lead the String Faculty, which includes bowed strings, harp, and guitar, and will be responsible for continuing the faculty’s education. The role requires an internationally recognised music professional with a proven track record in performance across various genres and significant experience in leadership and teaching at the tertiary level.

Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity, and current trends in performance. Responsibilities include strategic leadership within the faculty and contribution to the broader management of the College.
