Education Producer/Chorus Manager (Content Producer) – BBC National Orchestra of Wales

The BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales (BBC NOW), located in Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff, is seeking an Education Producer/Chorus Manager on a 10-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The role entails a combination of music learning expertise and management of the BBC National Chorus of Wales’ live and digital activities. It also includes overseeing learning activities for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, aiming to connect the ensemble with a diverse range of people and partners.

The successful candidate will support the Head of Artistic Programming and Production, working closely with the chorus master and other learning staff to plan an annual programme of learning work. This includes devising artistically excellent programs that engage a wide audience, managing key programs such as the BBC National Chorus of Wales and Composition Wales, and ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation.

Applicants should have substantial experience in an orchestra, chorus, or closely related arts environment, a deep understanding of music in Wales, project management skills, and a commitment to music education and engagement. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, child welfare acts, and experience with professional musicians are essential. Welsh language skills are highly desirable.
