We are excited to be recruiting an Orchestra Leader for the Ulster Orchestra on a 60% contract. This is a rare opportunity to be part of the leadership of Northern Ireland's only professional symphony orchestra.

As one of two Leaders, you will lead, motivate and inspire the orchestra through your outstanding ability and excellent leadership while embodying the culture and values of the Society.  

To be successful in your application you will be a professionally trained musician with a high-level experience of orchestral playing, demonstrating excellence in technique, capable of handling the major orchestral solos, and be able to technically advise members of the string section.  

Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role, along with the proven ability to lead others through recent professional orchestral leadership experience. 

NB. The position is on a 60% contract which includes leading 50% of full orchestra work and participating in additional non-platform activities such as small ensembles, On Your Doorstep, Learning & Community Engagement and recruitment.
