The University of Manchester seeks a Lecturer in Composition to join their Music Department on a permanent basis starting 1 September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The role, located at Oxford Road, Manchester, offers a salary range of £40,521 to £56,021 per annum, depending on relevant experience.

Applicants must hold a PhD in music composition or a related field and demonstrate a developing track record in producing research of international quality. Specialisms should include vocal and instrumental composition, with a secondary focus in areas such as film and visual media, music theatre, community music, or music production.

Responsibilities include delivering and convening course units, contributing to postgraduate teaching pathways, and participating in departmental management and administration.
