The City of Derry International Choir Festival is currently inviting applications for its 2024 event. The festival includes categories for school, national, and international choirs.

Application requirements for all categories include a completed application form with the proposed competition programme, an entry fee, and 5 sets of original sheet music of the competition pieces. Specifically for the International Competition, a choir biography (150–250 words), a recent high-resolution colour photograph in JPEG format, and a recent choir recording are also required.

The deadlines for entries are as follows:
International Competition: Friday, 29 March 2024
School, National, and Non-Competitive Participation: Friday, 31 May 2024

Competition fees are:
School Competitions: £50/€60
National Competitions: £80/€95
International Competition: £150/€180

Eligibility criteria vary across the categories. School competitions are open to schools from both Ireland and the UK, and post-primary school choirs may enter more than one competition. National competitions are open to choirs from Ireland and the UK, with the majority of singers being over 15, except for the Youth and Sacred/Gospel categories. The International Competition is open to any youth or adult choir of international standing, with those accepted for this category being excluded from entering national categories. This festival represents a significant opportunity for choirs to showcase their talent on an international stage.
