The 2023-24 segment of this epic series continues with performances of Nos 32 and 94 ("The Surprise"). No. 94 was the fourth of the 12 "London" symphonies to be composed (in 1791), and No. 32 is a relatively early example of his "festive" C major symphonies, featuring trumpets and drums as well as horns. The Cork Haydn Orchestra is led by Liz Charleson and conducted by Geoffrey Spratt.
