IMC presents Late Night Jazz for CultureNight
Ireland's leading promoter and resource for jazz, Improvised Music Company (IMC) welcomes you to a diverse and exciting programme of late night jazz at The Complex as part of CultureNight.
Ronan Guilfoyle's Tudo Bem take their inspiration from the musical hothouse that is Brazil, exploring the repertoire of Hermeto Pascoal, Tom Jobim, and Caetano Veloso via the grooves of samba, partido alto, bossa nova and more.
OKO are a sonic experience best enjoyed live, with sounds that shift from lush synth-drenched sculptures to tight hooks and loose grooves, robust turntable scratching and liberated improvising.
The night rounds off with an open jam session in The Cooler led by all-female group The Jazzabelles bringing their own unique style while allowing plenty of scope for improvisation and new players on the stage.
