Tutti 1st Violin

Tutti 1st Violin

Sunday, 22 October 2023, 11.55pm

We have a wonderful opportunity for an accomplished violinist to join our 1st Violin Section.

The UO offers a wide and varied career, where you will be part of an engaged and dedicated team of talented musicians – as we say in our core values, we are aspirational, ambitious, creative and progressive!

In addition to orchestral work, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of non-platform activities, including diverse Learning and Community Engagement activities and chamber music playing, as well as creating and leading your own non-orchestral activity.

We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate musical excellence with the ability to play at a professional orchestral level and a commitment to delivering a high standard of work at all times.

Ideally, you will have experience of performing in symphony orchestras. However, we are committed to identifying and developing new talent and so we are also excited to hear from candidates who are in the early stages of their career and can clearly show potential to fulfil the role.

If this sounds like an Orchestra you would like to be part of, we would love to hear from you. Further information on the job requirements, application and selection process along with benefits of working for the Orchestra, can be found in the recruitment pack which you can download from our careers page. Please note that applications received after the closing date cannot be considered.

The Ulster Orchestra is committed to striving to be truly representative of all aspects of diversity and to offer a fully inclusive working environment. We are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, irrespective of age, disability, ethnicity, gender or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, socio-economic background. The appointment will be made on merit with openness and transparency of process.
