Following the release of his acclaimed album Lost Suite, jazz pianist Gediminas Karkauskas, accompanied by drummer Julian Fenton UK (ex Duran Duran) and Julie Walkington UK, will bring audiences on a deeply connective musical journey of jazz favourites.

“The melodies here are exquisite and the execution flawless, melding jazz and classical disciplines to deliver six sparkling new originals.”
Ian Mann, Jazz Mann CD review UK, in his review of Lost Suite.
Gediminas Karkauskas from Lithuania is a jazz pianist, composer and educator, who has been living in Dublin for the past two decades. He has many years’ experience of performing solo as well as with other musicians. Born into a musical family in Panevezys, Lithuania, Gediminas grew up surrounded by classical and jazz music, and quickly developed a love for jazz. As a young pianist, he sought ways to challenge himself, exploring the piano as an instrument capable of expressing his musical ideas. He took piano lessons from an early age and later studied at the royal conservatory of the Hague and the guildhall school of music and drama, completing his masters at the Dublin institute of technology conservatory of music, (2012-13).

Since arriving in Dublin, Gediminas has made many trips back to continental Europe, to appear in concert venues and jazz festivals. He has in particular received several invitations from the Baltic states, for example the Broma jazz festival and the Klaipeda city festival in his native Lithuania. In Ireland Gediminas has played at numerous venues and contributed to some notable concerts, including a performance at the national concert hall, Dublin with louis Stewart in 2015. Gediminas has played at many jazz festivals in Ireland, for example, Kilkenny jazz and the Guinness cork jazz festival.
