Open Call: Sonic Experiments 2024

The ZKM | Hertz-Lab invites applications for its artist-in-residence programme, Sonic Experiments 2024, offering scholarships to international composers and artists in the realm of electronic music and sound art. This opportunity is open to composers or artists from Creative Europe countries, excluding those with permanent residency in Germany, and to individuals residing in Germany, with up to two scholarships available for this group.

Applicants are encouraged to submit project proposals within three categories: Analog Synthesizer, Experimental Spatial Pop, and AI & Sensor Technology. The selected projects can explore a variety of presentation modes, including live electronics, mixed music, experimental performance, live coding, acousmatic, and fixed media. Special tools like the Zirkonium spatialization software and a LiDAR-based tracking system for AI & Sensor Technology projects are provided.

Applications must be submitted by 31 March 2024, 23:45 CEST.
