Saturday, 3 June 2023, 8.00pm

Taobh na Mara Céilí Band was formed in 2017 by a group of friends, who down through the years have played together at fleadhanna and festivals throughout the country. Although based in Dungarvan, County Waterford, the band’s members come from the Munster counties of Waterford, Cork, Clare and Kerry. Each member brings their own unique style to the band and combined, they have toured over six continents and are delighted when they get to come together to perform as Taobh na Mara.

Having been crowned the 2022 All Ireland Senior Céilí Band in Mullingar the band have now recorded their debut album featuring a diverse range of traditional music and songs. The Fleadh Nua concert will prove to be a feast for the ears with an array of toe-tapping music combined with the beautiful singing of Michelle Rattigan. The band will be joined on the night by set dancers and world champion step dancers for a show not to be missed.

Taobh na Mara comprises of Conor Arkins, Sarah O’Gorman and Seamus O’Gorman on fiddles; Claire Fennell and Liam Walsh on Flutes; Rebecca Saich on concertina; Joseph Mannion on button accordion; Seán Kelliher on banjo; Danny Collins Céilí Drums and Hannah Collins on piano.
