Clare County Council is currently seeking applications for the position of Theatre Attendant at Cultúrlann Sweeney in Kilkee. This venue features a 108-seat theatre, an art gallery, and a library with additional meeting and IT facilities. The successful applicant will be part of the Clare Arts Office team and report to the Arts Officer or their nominee.

Applicants must be prepared to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. The role includes managing theatre sound and lighting systems, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety protocols, and engaging with a variety of theatre users such as artists and community groups.

Candidates should demonstrate experience or interest in the arts, technical acumen with sound and lighting, and strong customer service skills. Additional responsibilities include setting up for events, general maintenance, and effective communication both orally and in writing.

A panel will be formed post-interview to fill this and future vacancies for 12 months, extendable up to 18 months at the discretion of the Chief Executive. Applications must be submitted by 26 April.
