The Marble City Music Festival is the vision of Kilkenny native and world-renowned violinist, Patrick Rafter. These concerts are in the intimate setting of St. John’s priory on John Street in Kilkenny City. For this Christmas edition, we have world-class musicians performing works such as Vivaldi's 4 Seasons. You are warmly invited to sit back and to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine/drink at our post concert reception. The festival's hope and vision is to welcome you and to show the transformative power of classical music. For this year's festival, Patrick will be joined by one of Ireland's most renowned groups, RTE ConTempo Quartet, renowned Irish pianist, Fiachra Garvey & harpsichordist Rachael Factor, performing some of the most dazzling and beautiful works of music. 2nd December at 8pm: Patrick Rafter and Fiachra Garvey perform an incredible program of Clara Schumann, Maurice Ravel, Chopin and Sarasate.

3rd December at 1pm and 4pm: Patrick Rafter, RTE Contempo String Quartet and Rachel Factor perform Vivaldi´s 4 Seasons and encore works.
