Christ Church University of Oxford is seeking an experienced and talented Organist and Official Student (College Fellow) in Music, starting from 1 September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. This role combines duties in both the College and the Cathedral, offering a unique opportunity to be part of the Christ Church community. The position involves the rehearsal, direction, administration, and overall responsibility for the Cathedral Choir, along with collaboration with the directors of the girls’ choir (Frideswide Voices), the Cathedral Singers, and the College Choir.

Candidates should demonstrate a distinguished record in organ performance and choral direction, commensurate with their career stage, and will be involved in the planning and delivery of the Cathedral’s music in collaboration with the Cathedral Chapter and Christ Church Cathedral School. Additionally, the Organist will join the Governing Body of Christ Church and partake in various college and Cathedral committees.

The position offers a salary ranging from £52,815 to £70,918 per annum, plus an Official Studentship Allowance of £4,370 per annum, with housing provided for the proper performance of duties. The role is permanent upon successful completion of a review within the first two years of employment.
