Creative Producer in Residence - Opera

Duration: November 2023 - October 2024

Fee: €20,000

This Residency will focus on three pillars of engagement:
Develop a strategy around in-house produced opera programming.
Formulate a strategy for the development of operatic programming and productions in the region (outside the walls of Cork Opera House).
Work with the CEO/Artistic Director to compile an ambitious 5 year strategic plan for the development of Opera Programming at Cork Opera House, in collaboration with the COH Concert Orchestra.

This role will work alongside COH CEO and Artistic Director Eibhlín Gleeson to support the development of the COH Opera Programme.

Candidates must demonstrate a capacity to undertake the above engagements and sufficient experience to enable their delivery.

APPLICATION PROCESS

A CV (maximum 3 pages) to include 2 industry referees.
A statement (max 1000 words) outlining how you would use the 12 months of this residency to influence Opera programming and production at COH, including a description of how the residency will fit into your professional ambitions and goals.
A maximum of 3 pieces of material outlining your experiences as a Creative Producer. Materials can include social media content, YouTube clips, recordings, marketing material etc.

Closing Date for Application: Monday 18th September 2023
Candidates will be shortlisted for an in-person interview in early October.
