Keane Connolly McGorman and Guests
Fresh from the release of their debut album with Raelach Records and sold out launch concerts, Keane/Connolly/McGorman bring their energetic traditional music to The Venue, Ratoath County Meath.
This powerhouse traditional music quartet is comprised of Galway uilleann piper Pádraic Keane, fiddle player Aidan Connolly from Dublin, and Meath brothers Fergus McGorman on flute and Ruairí McGorman on Greek bouzouki. Their music is vibrant and fresh sounding, while also being heavily influenced by past masters of the tradition. The legendary Bothy Band founder member Paddy Glackin described Keane/Connolly/McGorman’s music as having a '...tonality, tempo and an articulacy of ornamentation that give a dimension to music that is unique and beautiful'. Featuring a number of special guests on the night, this will be one of the only opportunities to see the quartet live in Meath. This is not to be missed!
'...the music is uncluttered and precise...this is trad-Wagyu, lovingly nurtured over time and delicious at every bite.' Irish Music Magazine
'...a nigh-perfect bit of sophisticated and very beautifully set traditional music that discerning traditional music fans will absolutely adore.'
The Irish Echo (US)
