Ceardlann Amhránaíochta | Traditional Singing Workshop
Féile Chomórtha Joe Éinniú - The Joe Heaney Commemorative Festival of Traditional Singing and Music takes place in Carna Village, Conamara, Co. Galway. This annual event celebrates the life and musical achievements of the legendary Carna singer who died in Seattle, USA, and is buried in his native parish. The focus of this festival is sean-nós and traditional singing in any other language, but there is also plenty of instrumental music and dancing.
A main feature of the festival is the Traditional Singing and Sean Nós Singing workshop which take place on Saturday May 6th (10.30am - 1.00pm) at Ionad Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge, Carna. Eircode: H91 W773. Entry is free. Saor chead isteach.

Micheál Ó Cuaig & Rosie Stewart
Rosie Stewart was born in the townland of Cashel, Co. Fermanagh and is a great ambassador for traditional Ulster singing. She comes from a long line of singers who have passed down family and local songs through the generations. In 2004 Rosie was awarded the TG4 award for Best Traditional Singer.
Micheál Ó Cuaig, as Áill na Brún i gCill Chiaráin. An-bhainteach le cúrsaí amhránaíochta ar an sean nós mar amhránaí agus eagraí ócáidí agus ceardlanna. Chaith sé bliain mar amhránaí cónaitheach in Ollscoil na Gaillimhe i 2007.
