The third and final concert in the 'Unfolding' series, Luminosa return to their spiritual home of St Nicholas' Church, Galway for what promises to be a very special performance. Featuring soloists, Paul Ezergailis and Bogdan Sofei in Bach's seminal work 'Concerto for two violins'. Featuring a special solo performance by Andreea Banciu of the exquisite 'Pastoral Fantasia' by William Alwyn. Also featuring Irish composers Seóirse Bodley ('Music for Strings') and Elaine Agnew ('Carry Each Other') and the recently re-discovered Samuel Coleridge Taylor ('Four Novelletten) once hailed as a musical genius by 20th-century music critics.

This year's concert series explores music written despite considerable adversity. Witness the unfolding and resilience of human nature. Featuring music written despite adversity, bringing the colour and triumph of the human spirit to life with works by:

Johann Sebastian Bach
Concerto for two violins (1715)

William Alwyn
Pastoral Fantasia for Viola and String Orchestra (1939)
