KARMIT FADAEL New work for cello and dance artist (world premiere)

This concert presents the world premiere of the result of a long sustainable journey across Europe. Composer Karmit Fadael travels from Vienna to Scandinavia, on to The Netherlands and finally to Galway, visiting all the participating festivals in the Songs of Travel project.

Halfway along her journey she is joined by dancer Stephanie Dufresne and cellist Killian White and the piece is composed along the way.

Travel writer Pól O’Conghaile speaks about sustainable travel and tourism, and the event also includes a wide-ranging panel discussion about the issues highlighted by the Songs of Travel project.
