Associate Lecturer, Music Production and Sound Recording

The Department of Music, University of York, seeks a full-time associate lecturer in Music Production and Sound Recording to teach on the Music and Sound Recording BA(Hons), and Music Production postgraduate courses.  The department recently established high quality new taught-course provision in these areas, and you will contribute to teaching and administration. The post is offered for one year at full-time, and has been enabled by research funding. You should have previous experience of teaching in HE situations, and be willing to play an active part in a fast-growing community.

You will deliver teaching (both practise-based and theory-led) at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in audio production, with a particular focus on popular music and electronic music. You will also supervise independent undergraduate and postgraduate projects in the general area of sound recording and music production as well as contributing to the day to day running of the Department’s courses and facilities.
