Edinburgh International Festival is seeking emerging classical musicians and singers for its 2024 festival. Opportunities include positions for string players, brass players and vocalists, with each role featuring mentoring and public performances.

There are three opportunities:

– Rising Stars with Ilumina and Liza Ferschtman: Up to six string players are needed for performances on 15–17 August 2024.

– Rising Stars of Brass: Up to five brass players are needed for performances on 22 and 23 August 2024, with additional community engagements.

– Exploring Rossini with Thomas Quasthoff: Twelve singers and two instrumentalists (pianist and harmonium player) are needed for performances on 19–25 August 2024.

Applicants must submit a video audition, a current CV, and teacher details if applicable. These paid opportunities start at GBP £650, with additional support for travel and accommodation.
