Music We'd Like To Hear 2012

Aiming to provide something of a platform for otherwise neglected music, Music We'd Like To Hear begins on 4 July in London.

Music We’d Like to Hear is a small festival of contemporary music that has taken place in London annually since 2005, which is curated by John Lely, Markus Trunk and Tim Parkinson.

Aiming to provide something of a platform for otherwise neglected music, the line-up for this year’s edition matches the mix of underperformed, rare, obscure and super-obscure of previous years.

This year’s festival begins on 4 July, with a programme curated by Markus Trunk featuring music by, amongst others, Kunsu Shim and Laurence Shim. On 11 July Parkinson’s concert has music by Manfred Werder, Michael Pisaro and others, and on 18 July Lely’s features Hanne Darboven’s opus 17a performed by double bassist Michael Duch.

All concerts take place in Church of St. Anne and St Agnes in London, with tickets costing £9, £6 concessions.
