SARAH JANE SCOUTEN WITH SUPPORT FROM BENJAMIN AMOS
TWILIGHT SESSIONS PRESENT
SARAH JANE SCOUTEN
WITH SUPPORT FROM BENJAMIN AMOS
Thursday 16 November, 8pm
Tickets £15 full, £13 concession
Scottish/Canadian folk and Americana songwriter, Sarah Jane Scouten's songs pay their respects to 60s and 70s country songwriters Willie Nelson, John Prine, Bobby Gentry and weave in British folk revival elements with a continuous thread leading back to her roots in bluegrass and old-time music. Releasing her fifth album Turned to Gold (Light Organ Records) this Autumn, Sarah Jane offers a new depth and solidity as a songwriter.
Hailing from the north coast of Ireland, Benjamin Amos released Letters, his debut solo release to much acclaim last year. Receiving great airplay across BBC radio, 'Romario' went on to be selected by Tom Robinson as the BBC Introducing Mixtape track of the week, while HotPress selected Amos as one of their 'Hot for 2023'.
