Mamacha and the Forest of Sound

Mamacha and the Forest of Sound

Sunday, 5 June 2022, 9.00pm

Eclectic trio, Mamacha, join cellist and soundscape artist, Lea Miklody (Hungary), on a musical journey into a forest of sound. Using a loop pedal and a multitude of instruments they build upon meditative cycles, creating textures and colours with the varying layers. Working from a fixed structure they allow plenty of room for improvisation and exploration, promising that no two performances will be the same.
The other artists are Mira Geluk (Ireland) on vocals, guitar and percussion, Armando Ramírez (Mexico) on charango, electric bass, percussion and spoken word, and Kate Liddell (UK) on five-stringed fiddle, flugelhorn, whistle, percussion and vocals. Together with Lea they also play original compositions and arrangements with influences from around the world.

Ticket price: €10 / €8
