Lecturer in Music Technology Grade 7/8

The University of Liverpool seeks to appoint a permanent Lecturer in Music Technology.

You will be required to teach the creative application of Music Technology (such as electronica, dance music, installations and mixed media) at undergraduate level. You will also supervise students working on their final year independent music technology projects, as well as projects by students on the Masters by Research (MRes) and PhD programmes. You will play a key role in the development of the W370 Music and Technology programme with the specific remit of bridging the areas of Creative Music Technology and Popular Music performance. You will be expected to have experience of practice-focussed teaching and assessment in Higher Education and knowledge and experience of professional practice that utilises music technology.

The successful candidate will be an experienced practice-based researcher, able to contribute 4\* outputs to Music’s REF submission, and to have plans for the development of research impact and bids for external research funding. In addition, you will be an excellent administrator, with a commitment to ensuring a high-quality student experience. Ideally, you will be able to take up the post by 1 January 2022.
