NOTIFY are a 6 piece Irish based contemporary instrumental ensemble. The band were formed in 2014 following the success of their debut 2013 album of the same name. The band consists of Pádraig Rynne (Concertina), Tara Breen (Fiddle), Davie Ryan (Drums), Rory McCarthy (Piano & Rhodes), Adam Taylor (Electric Bass) and Hugh Dillon (Acoustic & Electric Guitars). They will be joined by the sean-nós singing siblings Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta, who are fresh from their double award-winning successes at the RTÉ Radio One Folk Awards.

The band seamlessly fuses a deep knowledge and respect for musical tradition with forward thinking innovation in a tasteful way that connects with audiences worldwide. The formation of musicians with backgrounds in Traditional Irish music, Jazz, Folk and Popular music has naturally established a system of balance that instantly draws listeners to their music.

Their new album entitled “Arineán” will be officially launched at this Glór concert and upcoming high profile collaborations with The Irish Concertina Orchestra, Bill Whelan, Cormac McCarthy and the MGCE Concert Orchestra, the bands star continues to rise and their constant musical evolution puts them at the fore of exploration into Irish music and beyond.

The band delivers an evocative repertoire of original compositions, produced with sensitive electronic overlays and inventive arrangements that are “cinematic in scope” (New York Echo).

At the crossroads of a new movement in Irish music, “NOTIFY breathes new life into their music, with a musical tapestry that ranges from soft melodies to crashing crescendos” (The Irish Times).
