The National Gallery of Ireland invites applications for the role of Schools Fellow. This full-time position is situated within the Education Department, supporting the SMBC Aviation Capital Schools Programme. The role is geared towards recent graduates or individuals in the early stages of their career, offering mentorship and support in engaging with various educational settings, including primary, post-primary, and special education schools, as well as alternative school settings.

The Fellow will assist in the administration, facilitation, delivery, and evaluation of educational projects like Your Gallery at School and My Primary School is at the Gallery. Additionally, the role includes researching arts education developments, aiding in the creation of accessible and inclusive art education opportunities, and ensuring the Gallery’s educational offerings are equitable and diverse.

Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree in Art Education or a related discipline, or relevant experience. Strong administrative, interpersonal, and professional skills in education and arts facilitation are essential. The position requires a commitment to inclusive engagement, teamwork, and ongoing professional development.

The salary is set at €32,000 per annum on a 3-year fixed-term contract, with a 35-hour workweek that includes regular weekend work. Candidates must be fluent in English, eligible to work in Ireland, and meet specific citizenship or visa requirements.
