Metronome: I Dreamed I Dream; the next new low

I Dreamed I Dream are a genre-blending five-piece band from Cork. They are influenced by everything ranging from shoegaze and dreampop to classic girl groups.

Described by the Evening Echo/Examiner’s Mike McGrath-Bryan as “emerging experimentalists” and with a “healthy disregard for musical convention”, IDID are fast becoming one of Ireland's most captivating bands. Sharing stages with the likes of The Frank & Walters, Gina Birch and M(h)aol, as well as playing festivals like Féile na Gréine, Cork Midsummer Festival and MusicTown Dublin has allowed the band to hone a unique sound, equal parts noisy post-punk and sean-nós. IDID’s first EP, Why Say A Lot?, was released in October to much acclaim.

the next new low

Everything is nearly always falling apart when the next new low play, but somehow the well-crafted songs save us and we all leave with a comfortable glow.
