Uriel Herman
Uriel Herman is one of Israel's greatest piano exports. As an exciting addition to the world of music, Uriel transcends genres, crossing jazz, classical and modern music. Covering the likes of "The Man Who Sold the World" by Bowie or "Smells Like Teen Spirit" , he truly has a unique sound and repertoire. He has developed his craft to a point where he is now a regular feature on the European Jazz Festival circuit and a much sought after performer both Solo and with his quartet.
After several years of trying we can now proudly announce a Solo performance in Dublin in the superb setting of St. Ann's Church, Dawson Street.
Jazz pianist and composer, Uriel Herman has been performing worldwide – with his quartet and as a soloist – over the past 5 years. His sound draws from his classical piano upbringing with a mastery of complex middle eastern rhythms and melodies.
“Many musicians can create the obvious. Only few can make every gesture, every note, every moment and every choice not only brilliant, but as if it were the only possibility. Tonight, Uriel Herman’s quartet smashed the gigantic door behind Brian Blade and his brothers and sisters of the obvious.” - Alexandre Fournet (France).
