Kris T Reeder was born in 1984 at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, UK and grew up on a council housing estate and housing association properties in Banbury, Oxfordshire. He was brought up in a single parent family in Banbury. His family claimed state benefits for most of his childhood. He has never met his father who is believed to be an African-American service personnel who served in the UK during the cold war. Kris T Reeder's alleged father died in the 1990's after being shot dead outside his apartment in St. Louis, Missouri according to US archives. It is highly probable that Kris T Reeder's paternal grandfather is Jeff Greyer, a drummer in the legendary 'Prince Gabe and the Millionaires' band who were one of the most prominent blues bands in the US deep south.

Kris T Reeder started producing his own music when he was 27 and has produced or been credited on over 200 releases to date ranging from Experimental Music, Noise Music, Free Jazz, Free Improvisation, Progressive and Alternative music. Kris T Reeder released his debut single 'Time to Fly Take 2' on the 12th of November 2018 and the facebook music video was viewed over 24,000 times in under a month leading to a rapid increase in followers on social media to over 55,000 in the same period. Following the success of the single 'Time to Fly Take 2' he released his debut album 'Time to Fly Take 2' through his own label ELR XL Records on the 20th of December 2018 which is distributed by Routenote.
