GreenBirdFlying is the alt folk trio of Cliodhna Quinlan, Mark Murphy and Mandi Frankham. As a trio they perform tuneful original folk music and songs with a hint of strangeness that fit around many genres including traditional, old time and americana.

They have spent the past few years honing their sound and now the band is ready to launch their debut album on the world. The album contains 11 original songs and one carefully curated cover that range in mood from haunting beautiful to playfully dark. Their songs are rooted in the poetry the lyrics are taken from. These words, from a myriad of poetic sources, are given memorable melodies and rich harmonies by the band. GreenBirdFlying's sound deserves to be heard and has been described as 'The Unthanks meets Ludivco Einaudi', and also 'Brecht meets Bluegrass'. The album also features special guest Rónán Ó'Snodaigh on several tracks.
