Con Murphy, who is fast becoming a household name is set to bring his ‘Otherworld’ acoustic show, alongside his wife Gráinne Murphy to The Linenhall Arts Centre.

A Ballinrobe native, Con has been making waves over the past number of years capturing the hearts of audiences across generations and music preferences. Having written his debut album both at home Ireland and abroad in Iceland, Con has been described as “A captivatingly original force in Irish music”, - Hotpress Magazine on ‘Otherworld’. Con’s reputation as a songwriter continues to gather momentum and is attracting attention both at home and abroad. His debut album, 'Otherworld', received widespread acclaim and airplay across Ireland, including on RTÉ Radio 1, RTÉ 2FM, iRadio, Midwest & Radio na Gaeltachta - whilst the album was also featured as an 'Album of the Week' on Marty Recommends on RTÉ Lyric FM, solidifying his place as a truly talented songwriter who’s not afraid to diversify.

Joined by his wife Gráinne Murphy (Glavey), a native of Aghamore for this intimate acoustic show, the announcement of the Linenhall Arts Centre concert holds special significance for this husband and wife duo as they represent their beautiful County Mayo on the prestigious 'Songs of Ireland' TV Series, where they collaborate with the acclaimed actor, comedian and musician Pat Shortt and folk music legend Mike Hanrahan. Concert goers can expect an unforgettable night filled with thought provoking music, storytelling and an immersive experience like no other, and will hear brand new songs from Con’s second album currently in the making.
