The Goethe Choir is delighted to be able to present a performance of JS Bach’s magnificent St. Matthew Passion, one of the cornerstones of western civilisation – this is a rare opportunity to hear the work performed live in Ireland and one not to be missed.

The performance will be conducted by our musical director John Dexter, supported by the Goethe Ensemble, and will feature:

In addition our audience will be invited to join with us in singing (in unison) for five of the chorales, a practice which was common in Bach’s time
