Farpoint Recordings will release a studio recording of Ian Wilson's new long-form duo for bass clarinet and double bass "Orpheus Down" on 14th April, immediately after a live performance of the work at the Sundays at Noon series in the Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin.

Inspired by the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice in the Underworld, this 45-minute, 10-movement work makes much use of special playing techniques, improvisation, and the vast experience of the two marvellous performers bass clarinettist Gareth Davis and double bassist Dario Calderone.
