Music for Galway Seeks Artistic Director

Applicants are being sought by Music for Galway for the position of Artistic Director. The organisation’s current Artistic Director, the composer Jane O’Leary, recently announced she would be stepping back from the role in early 2013.

Music for Galway is a non-profit organisation that has been promoting music in the city since 1981. The new Artistic Director will be expected to curate an annual programme according to the organisation’s available budget and artistic policy.

The successful applicant will also work with the Executive Officer in responding to artistic queries and matters relating to the season of events, advise on appropriate promotional matters related to the programme, oversee promotional material as well as draft the artistic sections of the annual Arts Council funding applications.

The new Artistic Director will begin in February 2013 and will receive and annual salary of €10,000. The deadline for applications is 13 November 2012. See here for a full job description.
