Register now for Ireland’s new “scratch” choir, CHORUS IRELAND.  The ‘scratch” choir is a focal point for choral singers who love singing but hate rehearsing! In short, the “scratch” choir affords keen choral singers the opportunity to rehearse and perform a choral masterpiece in an exhilarating 48-hour period.

In addition, for a modest fee, this new-born choir offers each singer the ultimate musical experience, performing with Ireland’s top professional orchestral players, hand-picked by David Brophy to form SINFONIA IRELAND. Combined with the unique opportunity to meet like-minded choristers from the four corners of Ireland and beyond, CHORUS IRELAND opens tht door to a truly memorable performance experience like no other.

CHORUS IRELAND has planned three residential weekends in 2017. The first is in Kilkenny, where you will perform Haydn’s Creation in the wonderful setting of St Canice’s Cathedral. Two other weekends are planned for Sligo (Fauré and Duruflé Requiems) and Limerick (Mozart’s Requiem and Coronation Mass).
