SOUNDTRACKING is a collection of some of the music I've composed for theatre, radio plays and film and features contributions from acclaimed vocalists; Hilary Bow Coughlan (Liam O’Maonlai/Ronan Guilfoyle), Victoria Keating (Christy Moore/Declan Sinnott), musicians; Trevor Kiely, Cormac O’Connor, Annette Buckley, Yvonne Leahy, Rachael Prendergast and Colm O’Flynn, and actors/voiceover artists; Nick Kavanagh and Mark D’Aughton. Over the years I've had the privilege of composing and performing original music for some of the most innovative theatre groups and independent production companies in Ireland ;Gare St Lazare Ireland, Macnas, Theatre Lovett, Intersections, RTE Lyric FM, Cork Folklore Project, amongst others, who always gave me far more creative freedom than I deserved. Some of the music on this release was recorded in a proper studio whilst some was recorded on old recording devices either during rehearsal, live performance or on location, resulting in the sound in places being somewhat raw and undercooked. Cormac O’Connor, of Maple Rooms Studio, did his best to tidy it up for your ears.
