Father and son, Anthony & Aidan Quigney play much of their music together at home around the kitchen table where the tunes are shared over and back between them. Anthony Quigney comes from a well-known, Co Clare traditional musical family. He plays flute, whistles and piano and has been a member of the world-renowned Kilfenora Ceili Band for 3 decades. He has toured far and wide & has recorded 9 studio albums including band, solo & duet projects. His solo flute and whistle album, “Breath-Taking” was released in 2021. He is steeped in the tradition of his native Co. Clare but also loves innovation and collaboration. He is also an accomplished music teacher, arranger, and producer and has been a board member of glór until recent years.

Aidan Quigney hails from Kilmore in South East Clare. He plays concertina and piano. In 2022 Aidan became the Senior All Ireland Champion on concertina at Fleadh Ceoil na hÉireann. He was a member of the group “Geantrai” which formed for the Gael Linn competition Siansa. He has recorded on Anthony’s album Breath-Taking. He has performed at many festivals up and down the country and made numerous appearances on radio and TV. He is also a much sought-after teacher of the concertina.

Paddy Hogan is seventeen years old and comes from Lissycasey. A student of Rice College, Ennis, Paddy plays piano, guitar and Uilleann pipes, but his greatest musical passion is singing. From a young age Paddy enjoyed learning traditional singing from Edel Vaughan and over the years has developed the love of singing in many different genres. He was greatly influenced by the musical mentoring of Sean Lyons from whom he learned guitar.

Last year Paddy joined the renowned Bunratty Castle Entertainers and has enjoyed his first season singing in the Castle. Paddy is also a member of the Irish Youth Training Choir and has a great interest in choral music and composition. A member of Ennis Musical Society, Paddy played Javert in the 2023 AIMS summer school production of Les Miserables in Thurles. Paddy studies voice under Dean Power and will be accompanied on the day by pianist, Michael Hennessey.

Claire Watts is an Irish traditional musician and singer songwriter from Galway currently based in West Clare. She plays flute, fiddle, guitar and piano and has released four studio albums of her songs and music. Currently in her final year of a PhD in Arts Practice at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick, Claire’s research focuses on An Arts Practice Exploration of Space, Place, and Identity in her Songwriting Practice. Following on from her PhD Claire will be embarking on an exciting new project called “Bean in A Van” where she is setting herself the challenge of travelling around Ireland in her camper van and writing a song about each county she visits.
