Mullingar Choral Society presents, as part of the celebrations for the centerary of the 1916 Easter Rising, “War and Peace”. The programme features the 1812 Overture, Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings”, “Clare’s Dragoons” by Irish composer Aloys Fleischmann and culminating in Karl Jenkins’ “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace”. With soloists Helen Hassett (soprano), Jeffrey Ledwidge (bass) and others and conducted by Fergus O’ Carroll and Thomas Kehoe, this is truly a night not to be missed!
