Cork folk band The Claddagh Rogues are touring their new album 'For the Record' across Ireland for Mental Health Month, with songs that speak openly of homelessness, addiction, mental health difficulties and recovery.

‘These songs of hope, loss and freedom are songs from the heart, songs of the people, in the vein of Marley and Cash’ – John Spillane
James O’Flynn and Mags Kelly started The Claddagh Rogues during an artist-in-resident project at Cork’s Simon Community in 2007 led by musician and clinical nurse Kevin O’Shanahan who still plays drums with the band. Mags, who experienced addiction and homelessness, passed away in 2014. 'For the Record' pays tribute to her memory.
Míde Houlihan is a Clonakilty bred singer-songwriter whose storytelling is lyrically spellbinding and easy to relate to. Her song 'Nuts and Bolts' won the IMRO Christie Hennessy Songwriting award in 2015 and is featured on her critically acclaimed album 'Coloured In’, recorded with renowned producer and guitarist, Bill Shanley.
This is a free event with a suggested donation for mental health charities.
