Markievicz Award 2024
The Arts Council has announced the Markievicz Award, a bursary scheme supporting artists across multiple disciplines. This €25,000 award aims to facilitate artists, working individually or collaboratively, to create new works that consider the role of women in Ireland during the 20th century and onwards. Open to all artists, the award encourages applications particularly from those operating within the Gaeltacht, with one bursary reserved for work through the Irish language.
