Like Barra Ó Séaghdha, I too lament the demise of Fintan Vallely’s excellent traditional music column in the Sunday Tribune. However, I might point out that there’s still a dedicated space (albeit an increasingly small one) for traditional music coverage in the Evening Herald, where I’ve been writing a weekly column (every Tuesday) on folk and traditional music since September of 1996; and that Hot Press also continues to provide a forum for discussion of traditional music issues.

Congratulations as ever on your well-edited and always interesting publication.
