DIPF prides itself in providing a platform for the emerging pianist. A rare opportunity to experience the close-up action of a great master teacher & Festival Artistic Director, at work with three young aspiring international pianists as they perform in master class.

Mr. Chen now enjoys a busy teaching career and feels honored to share his knowldege with students who are passionate about music. Many of his students have won top prizes in competitions and have been accepted to major universities and conservatories. He has been invited to give master classes at festivals and institutions across the United States, Europe, and Asia as well as being an active adjudicator at both national and international levels. Mr. Chen recieved First Prize at the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in 2012 and was awarded Artist of the Year by the New York Classical Muisc Society in 2013. He also holds a Felloship from the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, a reisdency program for artists to practice and excel at their craft. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Muisc and the DIT Dublin Conservatory of Music and is now Artistic Director for the Dublin International Piano Festival & Summer Academy and Director of Development at the Piano Academy of Ireland.
