Kilfenora Traditional Music Festival 2024
The Kilfenora Traditional Music Festival 2024 will run from Friday 26 to Monday 29 April. This is the 15th festival in a series that began in 2009 with the centenary of the Kilfenora Céilí Band. The festival is noted for great concerts and céilís, young musician workshops, cracking CD launches and pub sessions. Friday night sessions include our annual Singers night and a celebration of the strong dance tradition in and around Kilfenora, and also featuring the Avalon Irish Dance Company celebrating its 20th anniversary. Saturday's events include an early afternoon Riches of Clare concert in Kilfenora's ancient cathedral, followed by CD launches and pub sessions, our main evening concert in Kilfenora Hall as well as a céilí and trad disco. This year's concert features an all-star quartet - Tommy Fitzharris, Dónal McCague, Nell Ni Chroinin and Colm O’Caoimh - with support from a prize-winner at the Meitheal Summer School. Sundays' events include the famous open-air céilí in the Square with the legendary Kilfenora Céilí Band. The pub sessions will continue through Sunday and Monday.
