Bach's Journey

Bach's Journey

Sunday, 26 November 2023, 3.00pm

When Bach was 20 years old, he *walked* 400km from Arnstadt to Lübeck to hear Buxtehude’s organ performances and to learn from him as much as he could. So it is very interesting to combine works by these two composers - master and student - in one programme.

The programme will include:

Johann Sebastian Bach: Cantata BWV 61 "Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland"

Dietrich Buxtehude : Cantata BuxWV 13 "Das neugeborne Kindelein"

Johann Sebastian Bach: Motet BWV 230 "Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden"

The concert will also feature a guest performance by Continuum Youth Choir.

Tickets are €25 and are available from the attached link
or at the door (cash and card payments accepted)
