As part of the program for the Kincora Trad Weekend photographer Ben Taylor returns with an exhibition of his images taken for the publication, ‘Out of Darkness, the Blind Piper of Inagh’ (Cottier Press) by Howard Marshall. After a successful exhibition for the 2017 Kincora Trad Weekend, prior to the book’s launch at the Willy Clancy Summer School, Ben returns with the full publication and a selection of prints.

The exhibition will run over two days, Saturday 8th April and Sunday the 9th of April, from 2pm to 5pm in Quay Arts gallery space, Ballina Quay, Co Tipperary.

On Saturday afternoon a soundscape for the exhibition will be created by Mayo musician Paul Smyth and Limerick’s Mickey Dunne from 2pm. This will be followed by a performance from Tipperary piper Brendan Collins at 3pm and finally at 4pm, Ben Taylor will be joined by All-Ireland champion piper Jack MacPartlin.

The event is free to enter. Copies of ‘Out of Darkness, the Blind Piper of Inagh’ will be available for purchase as will a selection of Ben Taylor’s prints. Recital Saturday only.
