We Belong Dead

Cathy Davey and others join David Turpin for a performance of an experimental song-cycle as part of Absolut Fringe.

We Belong Dead is a combined music, theatre and ‘occult ritual’ installation taking place at the Project Arts Centre. Written by Irish electronica/pop artist David Turpin, best known for his Haunted! album, the show explores pop music’s ability to beguile and unnerve in a piece that imagines the end of man and a return of the animal kingdom.

The performance takes the form of an experimental song cycle, for which Turpin will be joined by pop, folk and electronic musicians such as Cathy Davey, Ivan St. John and Hunter-Gatherer. We Belong Dead is a one-off event as part of Absolut Fringe that takes place on 19 September. Tickets cost €16/14.
